One Great SUV - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By jfrnarr - July 31 - 2:00 amThe SUV drives like a car. The best price for the quality. We are very happy with our Santa Fe. It has lots of space for our kids, and it doesnt kill you on gas.

Best little hauler out there - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Skuuter - July 20 - 10:00 amAfter test driving and researching all the small and mid-size SUVs that we were interested in (Kia Sorento, Ford Escape, Saturn VUE, Mazda Tribute, Suzuki XL-7), the Santa Fe was the winner based on value, driveability, safety, warranty and style, in that order. Its taken a while to warm up to the unique styling, but when youre driving this vehicle, looks are secondary. Its enjoyable and comfortable to drive on long trips. Lots of room for front and rear passengers. I do feel the 2.7 liter V6 is adequate for most people who dont plan to tow anything and use this as a daily driver.

Great Value - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By TXSF - June 24 - 2:00 amI have 3500 miles on my 2003 Santa Fe and am very pleased with it. It is an excellent value, and has very good build quality. No problems so far. The SF has a great ride, great visibility, and the engine is acceptably powerful, although not overly so. I have never needed more power than the engine delivers. The SF is also quieter than some of its Japanese competitors. Its even quieter than my 2000 Honda Accord 4 cyl.

No Problems with My Santa Fe - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Stephen Gons - June 18 - 4:50 amI bought my Hyundai new as my first car and other than routine oil changes and 30 and 60,000 mile services....I have had no problems at all. It runs great and drives well in all types of weather conditions. I would love to get a newer one, I love the new body style better.

Great SUV - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By David Ludington - May 21 - 10:00 amWe have 31000 miles on it and have never had a problem with anything. We cannot say the same for the Ford Expedition, GMC Yukon, or GMC Jimmy and Suburban we have owned. It is a fun vehicle to drive.

Love the 3.5 L engine!! - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By Christina Alsaady - May 17 - 9:46 amWe initially bought this vehicle for the warranty but found it to be an incredible SUV! We opted for all the extras & are completely satisfied. The 3.5 L engine is very quick & powerful. The comfort is great & we use this for every family vacation. We have put around 70000 miles on it & only have had to change the front brakes!! (Even has the original tires) Just change the oil every 3000 miles & watch her go!!

By marcelo1977 - May 13 - 12:12 pmi bought this car used and since day one had problems with, just to list some, alignment problems, socks and springs noisy, transfer case shot in the middle of the highway at 75 mph. 4wd does not work as god as gm cars. parts are costy like honda and toyota. if you like to work on fixing cars, buy an hyundai sant-a-fail.

hyundai is a fallacy - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By molly - May 7 - 9:13 pmEverything was ok for 3 yrs. At 4th yr mark, around 60,000 miles after your initial warranty kicks out, everything started falling apart. A timing belt $700.00. Lots of problems w/tires 1st yr owning car. Now in our 5th year, no more warranty, 71,000 miles & we are having Major problems. Was told it would cost $2800! Car is only worth $4000 - $5000 at this point. We have a 2007 sonata. Will never buy another Hyundai. They are not made when at all & that whole 100,000 warranty thing is a hoax. The car will not make it that far without costing you lots in repairs. We will buy a Toyota next time around.

I Luv It!!! - 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
By KET - May 7 - 2:30 amI have driven lots of cars/trucks/suvs in my years as a car owner. I would buy this SUV again in a heartbeat. I drive 100 miles a day just back and forth to work. The only thing I have had to do is tires, breaks, and normal maintenance required for the warranty. (timing belt, tensioner @ 60,000) I get GREAT gas mileage (26-26 mpg) considering the weight of Santa Fe. My mother bought herself a Santa Fe 6 months after I got mine, and loves hers as well. I would recommend this SUV to anybody, and have. Well worth every penny.
